We left with no certainties, just a full suitcase and hopeful eyes.
We arrived here, happy to live a new adventure in the city we’d waited for so long, and finally, we are truly the protagonists of this almost surreal journey.
“My father says that being a Londoner has nothing to do with where you were born. He says that there are people who get off a jet at Heathrow, go through immigration waving any kind of passport, get on the Tube, and by the time the train stops at Piccadilly Circus, they’ve already become Londoners.”
