Insurance and Healthcare

EU Citizens

  • Can access the Italian healthcare system for free via the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).

  • Once in Italy, they must go to the ULSS to obtain a health document valid for 12 months.

  • There are some exceptions such as dental treatments.

Non-EU Citizens

  • Must have a mandatory private insurance policy before arriving in Italy.

  • It is necessary for the visa and to access healthcare.

Assistance, Safety, and Family Change

Before matching, we perform checks on the host family to ensure a safe environment.

Before departure, a phone meeting between the family and the candidate is organized, so you have the chance to get to know each other and see if you'll get along.

If the relationship doesn't work, it's possible to request a family change with 14 days' notice, to allow the agency time to find a replacement.

Useful tips before leaving

To make the most of the Au Pair experience:

it is advisable to have a basic knowledge of the language of the country

you can improve by attending a local language school (usually at your own expense)

some families prefer Au Pairs with a driver's license

a spirit of adaptation is needed: new rules, new habits, new culture

Diritti di agenzia
