The family must not treat the candidate as a domestic servant, her principal duties will be caring for the children and all aspects of childcare that involves, bathing, dressing, mealtimes, care for their well-being and safety when out-doors, daily routine for their bedroom and ironing their clothes, playing, etc.

The girl is also expected to help with light chores (filling /emptying the dishwasher, setting the table if eating with the family) mainly giving the family a hand when needed, unless stated differently in the your application.

AN AU-PAIR

is expected to work 5-7 hours a day (30-35 hours weekly) taking care of the child/children. They are allowed to attend a language school each day as they will have most of the day free, they are required minimum childcare experience for this work, as it mainly involves playing and babysitting the children. The minimum weekly wage for this is 80 Euro, half day Saturday and Sunday free usually or any other full day and a half or two days free. Ten days paid holiday given for every 6 month’s stay. Au-pairs are asked to stay for a period of at least 6 months.

A MOTHER'S HELP

is expected to work 8-9 hours a day (48-50 hours weekly), one has to have more childcare experience for this job. One day and a half off a week, usually at weekends. Minimum wages of 100 Euro a week, ten days holiday pay for every 6 month stay. It is usually asked of the girl to make a contract of work for at least 12 months.

A NANNY

must be either qualified or have a 1 year minimum working experience with children, ideally working as a live in nanny with a family or in another appropriate children’s environment, e.g. play school, paediatric hospital. A nanny can often be left alone with new-borns or older children for certain periods of time without the parents. They have full responsibility and care for the children. They can often work longer hours with rewarding wages and free time. Free time has to be decided between the family and the NANNY. A NANNY is asked to stay for at least 1 year or more. Ten days holiday pay is given for every 6 month stay. Minimum weekly wages of Euro 200-400.
It is understood that you the host family and the agency (CELTIC CHILDCARE) are not responsible for any bills/expenses incurred by the girl during their stay abroad.
She will accept that you the host family or agency are not liable for her repatriation, nor for any losses or injuries incurred during her stay abroad.
